Dolores Mary Price, 83, of Great Falls, passed-away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. Per her wishes no services are planned.

Born on February 22, 1937 in Homestead, PA to Leslie and Margaret Schofield, Dolores was raised in Newburgh, NY, graduating from the Newburgh Free Academy. She met her husband, James Thomas Price, at a New York Military Academy dance when she was only 16 years old, marrying him in Newburgh on November 17, 1956. They enjoyed 51 years together until Jim’s passing in 2007.

Throughout their married life, they were stationed at various Air Force Bases on the east coast, but primarily lived in Newburgh, NY, and Miami, FL, before moving to Great Falls, MT in 1989. Dolores was a medical technologist and laboratory supervisor, working at Larkin General Hospital in South Miami, FL for most of her professional career, over 21 years. Her travels with Jim always yielded great adventures. Mining in Arizona they found gold nuggets that she shared with family and friends. Dolores and Jim spent six months traveling through Australia, returning from year to year to spend time with the Aussie friends they had made. They also spent time exploring Portugal, France, and London. Her love of mystery and intrigue was rooted in her love of reading. Often curling up with a good book and her big dog, one of the five German Shepherds she had in her lifetime. Dolores took pride in making great food for her family, especially her family’s secret spaghetti sauce. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who recently returned to Great Falls. Her family was the light of her life.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Miller of Bothell, WA and Peggy Bloomfield of Great Falls; sisters, Janie Schkair of Dallas, TX and Eileen Brink of Westtown, NY; grandson, Curtis Bloomfield; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Emerson.

Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Thomas Price; and brother, James Schofield.
