My mother, Dona L. Morrow, the only child born to Adolf and Hilda (Gereke) Roushar, at the Columbus Hospital in Great Falls Montana on August 30, 1924, died December 12, 2015 of natural causes at the Park Place nursing home. She cherished her father, who was a game warden in the 30's and 40's, and she learned to fly-fish, hunt and camp in the woods outside the northwest corner of Yellowstone Park. Except for summers there, a few years as a preteen in Hollywood California with her aunt and uncle, and a year on a remote ranch near Tiger Butte, she was a lifelong resident of Great Falls. She married Archie Woodward, in 1942 and in 1943, she gave birth to her only child, Jerry Woodward. Five years later she divorced, but married again to Clinton Harrington of Great Falls in 1950. They divorced in 1957. Then in 1959, she married her perfect match, O.P."Pote" Morrow, for 55 years, until his death last year. They shared an interest in hunting and camping, flying, antiques and furniture restoration, specialty cars, western art and arms, and were involved in related clubs and shows. They built and enjoyed a summer log cabin at Lincoln, Montana for over 20 years. Mother endured the two devastating Sun River floods of 1953 and 1964, before moving to higher ground across the Missouri. She was a good homemaker and cooked great farm-style and healthy meals. She was artistic with oil painting, poetry, decorating and fashion, and was an animal lover, especially her dogs. Dona’s ashes will be laid to rest during a private ceremony later this week at Highland Cemetery next to "Pop"(Pote) and Grandpa Ad's gravesite. The family has requested that contributions be made to the McLean Animal Adoption Center of Great Falls.
