Donald James Beaupre, 85, of Wolf Creek passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at a local care facility. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home. Per his wishes, no services will be held.
Born September 7, 1936 in Escanaba, Michigan to Orem and Vivian (Macnamee) Bopre, Don joined the US Army after graduating from St. Paul’s Catholic High School in 1955. He was in the service from 1956 until 1964. He lived in Palo Alto, California before relocating to Wolf Creek. He trained to become a commercial pilot and was a flight instructor. He was a truck driver before opening Wolf Creek Rock and Gravel, running that operation until he retired. An avid outdoorsman, he loved to fish, owning a Sting Ray boat for 42 years. His dogs, Nikki and Montana, both Akitas, went everywhere with him.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy Beaupre of Wolf Creek; daughters, Sandra Moeller of Raymond, CA, Pattie Lewis of Palo Alto, CA and Sheri (Brett) Cox; grandchildren, Taylor, Kelly and Brook; in-laws, Don and Jan Kundert. He was preceded in death by his parents.
