Doris Mae Forgette, 82, passed away of natural causes on September 7, 2014 at her home in Simms. Memorial services will be held at Croxford Funeral Home in the Rose Room chapel on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at 11:00am with Father Michael Schneider officiating.

Doris was born on December 6, 1931 in Anaconda and raised in Ramsey, Montana. Doris was married twice in her life, first to Don Fink and later to Dewaine Forgette. Six children were born of these unions.

Doris spent her career as a bar tender and had earned the title of Butte’s Bartender of the Year two separate times. She enjoyed dancing, beading, jigsaw puzzles, garage sales, and traveling. She was also a regular viewer of Frazier and The Golden Girls, and a proud member of Cowgirls Association and the Fort Shaw Senior Citizens Center.

Doris cherished her time with family: watching Bev clog dance, dinner and movies with Kenny, attending Rosary with Jerry, and going on cruises with Keith and riding in the model A. She leaves her family with fun and beautiful memories of their trips to Fairmont Hot Springs.

Survivors are daughter, Beverly (Jeff) Carlisle of Simms; sons, Ken Forgette of Vista, CA, Jerry (Shirlee) Forgette of Lakeside, CA, and Keith (Tracy) Forgette of Apple Valley, CA; nine grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded Doris in death include son, Roy Fink; daughters, Terri Lynn Forgette & Terri Lee Forgette; and husband, Dewaine “Frenchy” Forgette.
