Elmer “Chub” Brown, 83, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed on Tuesday August 18, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home and services will be announced in the future.
Born November 14, 1936 in Laurel, MT to Fred and Ada Brown, Chub graduated from Laurel High School and married Marj Byrd. From this marriage they had three children, Debbie (George) Alley of Franklin, KY, Larry (Ida) Brown of Willard, UT and Karen (Brian) Larson of Layton, UT. This marriage ended in divorce.
In 1978 he married his true love, Audrey Griggs and they were blessed with sons, Brandon (Jen) Brown of Billings, MT and Jody (Blake) Brown of Augusta, MT
Chub was a diesel mechanic working for Consolidated Freight Lines and Safeway but retired as a self-employed mechanic. He enjoyed camping, fishing, auction sales, arts and crafts, a serious rockhound and spending time with his loving family. One of his biggest joys in life was enjoying time with his grandchildren.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years, Audrey; his five children; 13 grandchildren as well as numerous great-grandchildren and sister-in-law, Ardie Brown of Albany, OR.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Donald.
Memorial donations in his name can be made to Peace Hospice or Conrad Transportation and Historical Museum.
