Floyd Gordan Lake, 85, passed away on December 20, 2020. A Graveside Service will be held on TUESDAY, December 29 at 2:00 PM at Manchester Cemetery.
Floyd was born on January 16, 1935 in Great Falls to Norman and Francis (Hamrell) Lake. Although born in Great Falls, he lived mainly in Fort Shaw and Sun Prairie. He would go on to marry Bertha May Lake and the two would raise a family together for 59 wonderful years until her passing.
He was an excellent machinist. He worked for the Anaconda Company and Automotive Machine. While not working, Floyd enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and boating. He and “Bert” made many trips in their motorhome, traveling out of state or to the lake.
Floyd also found joy coaching little league and being a scout leader, while his boys were younger. In his retirement he became an avid Husky football fan.
Floyd will be missed by many but especially his sons, Alan (Cindy) Lake of Belt, Greg (Janet) Lake of Kalispell; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He goes on to join Frank Lake, Emil Lake and his wife, Bertha May Lake who passed in 2013.
