Frank Copenhaver, 90, of Great Falls, Montana passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026. He was born on October 24, 1935, in Hinsdale, Montana and he married his wife, Marlene, on December 23, 1974. Frank retired as a truck driver and U.S Army veteran.
Frank's favorite things were hunting, fishing and the rodeo. As a young boy, Frank and his brother Marvin would ride horses all day and night; They rode to the movies in Hinsdale, up across the Vandalia dam, and up on the South Bench to look for arrowheads and buffalo teeth. They would then ride like hell to get home to get the horses brushed down before their dad got home.
Frank and his truck spent many years driving across all the United States, through Canada and up to Alaska. He spent many years hauling pipe all along the oil line up to Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, along with many nights in an old canvas sleeping bag on the Northern Slope. He spent a memorable trip in his truck with his nephew Gus, who was 15 at the time, all the way to Anchorage, Alaska and then back to the lower 48.
Later on in life, he spent his retirement next door to his grandkids Amanda and Marcus, along with going to antique shows with his wife Marlene all over the northwest and Canada for the Now & Then Shop. Whenever his family came to visit, from all over the country, they would sit in awe and listen to all the great stories he had to tell of him growing up.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene (Music) Copenhaver (Great Falls, MT); his parents Capitola and Luther Copenhaver; brothers Jimmy Copenhaver and Marvin Copenhaver; and sister Virginia Silvey.
