Gerald Warburton Cowie
Born December 19 ,1927 in Johannesburg, South Africa. His Dream was to come to America. At the age of 23 he worked for his passage on a Norwegian freightliner as a second cook, to England. He worked for a farm machinery company and was transferred to Cananda, then to America. He worked for various states and was the owner and operator for North American Van Lines covering 47 states.
His favorite job was with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah. He retired from there after 12 years and moved to Great Falls. He is survived by his wife Velda, daughter Lynn and family, two nephews and their families. Preceding him in death, his wife Marie, son Reginald, sister Ann and parents. Cremation has taken place by Croxford Funeral Home.
