Gerald Oliver Larson Sr., 80, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021. His Service will be held on Friday, November 5th at 2:30 PM in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home with full military honors. His final resting place will be at the Montana State Veterans Cemetery at Fort Harrison, Helena, MT.
Born on December 8, 1940, in Kenmare, North Dakota to Albert and Ester (Johnson) Larson, the family moved to Great Falls, Mt where Gerald graduated from Great Falls High School. He Joined the U. S. Marine Corps, earning a Purple Heart, the Presidential Unit Citation, a Navy Unit Citation and the Vietnam Service Medal before retiring. He enjoyed wood working and lived in many places around the country during his military career.
Survivors include his son, Gerald O. Larson Jr; daughters, Kari Ann Boales, Tracy Rivera and Robin Larson; sisters, Joyce Dresel, Mary Daniels, Linda Larson, Louise Killip and Grace Larson; brothers, grandchildren, Robert Ybarra, Christopher Boales, Demin Rivera, Emmi Rivera and Katelyn Boales.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Nicolas Rivera; brothers, Vernon Larson and Dale Larson.
