Helen Marie (Keyes) Burge

Helen Marie Burge, 74, of Great Falls passed away surrounded by her adoring family on July 8, 2020. A celebration of her life will be announced at a later date. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.

Helen was born on August 4, 1945 in Great Falls to Jesse and Dorothy Roselma (Hilt) Keyes. She spent her formative years in Cascade and attended Cascade High School. She went on to work as a cook, working for over twenty years at Tom’s Market. After 63 years in Cascade Helen moved to Great Falls in 2009.

She is described as caring and kind spirited. A woman that enjoyed visiting with family and friends, whom she would spend countless hours with making ceramics or constructing jigsaw puzzles. Helen also loved collecting with a love for cow items.

Helen leaves behind many who will mourn her, including her son, John Downey Jr. of Buckner, MO; daughters, Kathryn Downey of Buckner, MO, Carol Spinler of Great Falls, MT, and Cristy Burge of Great Falls, MT; brothers, Robert (Shirley) Keyes of Great Falls, MT, and Don (Theresa) Keyes of Great Falls, MT; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She goes on to join both her parents, Jesse and Dorothy Keyes.
