Holly Sue (McArthur) Christianson

December 6, 1952 ~ January 20, 2015 (age 62) 62 Years Old

Holly Sue (McArthur) Christianson, 62, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2015 at a local care facility. The family has entrusted Croxford Funeral Home with cremation. No services are scheduled at this time.

Holly was born on December 6, 1952 in Great Falls to parents Walter J. McArthur and Margie M. Whitmore. Holly graduated from Great Falls High School and later met the love of her life, Robert Christianson, whom she married in 1978. From this union they were blessed with two wonderful children, Sara and Sean. In addition to being a devoted wife and loving mother, Holly enjoyed her position as a Bookkeeper for Meadow Gold Dairy. In her free time, Holly enjoyed spending time at the cabin in Lincoln with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards. But the true joy that always brought happiness to her life were her grandchildren Zaccheaus and Nigel Sneigoski.

She is survived by her husband Robert; sisters, Toni (Mike) Myers and Gretchen (James) Jendro; daughter, Sara (Joshua) Sneigoski; son, Sean, all of Great Falls; stepdaughters, Jennifer (Michael) Cameron, Melanie (Brad) Rapp, both of Maricopa, AZ; sister-in-laws, Marj (Duncan) Smith of Alamo, CA, Anita (Tom) Torgrimson of Richey, MT, Adele (Ron) Otto of Big Sandy, MT; nephews, Clayton Holly; niece, McArthur Kelley; numerous additional nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.

Holly was preceded in death by her parents.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,

Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,

Silence the pianos and with muffled drum

Bring out the coffin, let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead

Scribbling on the sky the message She Is Dead,

Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,

Let the traffic policemen wear black cotton gloves.

She was my North, my South, my East and West,

My working week and my Sunday rest,

My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;

I thought that love would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now: put out every one;

Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;

Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood.

For nothing now can ever come to any good.
