Hugene David Davis, or “Gene”, 76, of Great Falls, passed away on July 4, 2019 at a local care facility. Services to be announced at a later date.
Gene was born on September 18, 1942 in Schenectady, NY to Henry Elwood Davis and Marjorie Augusta Maxfield-Davis. He was raised in Schenectady, graduating from Mohonasen High School in 1960. He went on to serve in the Air Force from 1962 – 1968, standing guard at Kessler AFB in Biloxi, MS during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also worked as a radar repairman while serving his country. After the Air Force he graduated with honors in 1986 from Clark County Community College, Las Vegas NV
Gene lived all throughout the country but spent most of his adult life in Las Vegas NV and Great Falls. He also wore many hats, sanitation engineer, radar repair, slot technician, and electrical engineer.
Gene loved old time comedians such as the 3 stooges, Marx brothers, Laurel and Hardy, W.C Fields, Harold Lloyd and Jack Benny. He not only loved them but collected statues made in their likeness. He was a history buff through and through. He idolized John Wayne.
He leaves behind sister, Denise Marie Capps; brothers, Bruce Wayne Davis, and George Albert Davis; granddaughter, Keanya Machell Wardinsky; great-granddaughter, Kalaysha Dawn McWilliams. Many adoring nieces, nephews, their children and grandchildren.
He goes on to join his parents; sister, Marjorie Gertrude Krutz; son, Joel Kirk Davis; daughter, Babbette Noel Krier; and son, David Travis Davis.
