Jake Wurz, 36, of the New Miami Colony passed away peacefully on August 30, 2021 following complications of a stroke. He died with family by his side.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, September 2nd with Burial in the Colony Cemetery.
Jake was born to Jake and Matilda Wurz on December 23, 1984 at the New Miami Colony. On January 17, 2010 he was united in marriage to his beloved wife Pauline.
Jake lived at New Miami Colony all his life. He was a soft spoken man with many friends. He was the head chicken boss for the colony until his passing.
Jake was diagnosed with a brain tumor in December of 2018. He fought a courageous battle with faith, strength and hope with his wife Pauline and family by his side. Pauline was his rock during these difficult times. She was his caregiver and nurse who stood beside him with patience, support and care in sickness and health until he was called home.
Jake is survived by his wife, Pauline, Dad and Mom, Jake and Matilda; brothers, Gary, Ben (Christina), Larry (Jonna), Robert (Denise), Walter (Jolene), Rick (Kathleen); sister-in-law, Bertha who he thought the world of, and numerous nieces and nephews he adored, as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Gone too soon… Rest in peace our loved one....Our family chain is broken and nothing will ever be the same. We will miss you until we meet again....
