Welcome to the memorial page for

Janet C. Johnson

November 7, 1959 ~ July 27, 2014 (age 54) 54 Years Old

Janet C. Johnson, 54, of Great Falls MT, passed away on July 27, 2014, at Benefis Health Care after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation is Friday, August 1st from 6-8pm in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 2nd, 11:00am at Malmstrom’s Air Force Base Chapel with burial to follow at St. Peter’s Mission Cemetery near Cascade.

Janet was born on November 7, 1959 in Bacolod City, Philippines to parents Juanito Castor and Oliva Jaype. She attended St. Anthony’s School for both her elementary and High School education. She then attended St. Paul College in Manila, Philippines where she graduated with an associate’s degree in Business Management. Once living in the United States, she worked in several different employment fields before finding her true passion as an international flight attendant for Continental/United Airlines. She was a member of International Association of Machinist and Aerospace Workers.

In 2007, a proud moment occurred in her life when she became a naturalized US citizen.

Janet was a devout Christian, always giving praise and witness to the Lord whenever she could. Janet was a very loving and generous woman who would always purchase “pasalubong” (gifts) and giving them away to family, friends and the less fortunate. She sponsored poor orphan children in the Philippines through World Vision and donated to charities, especially cancer organizations.

As a flight attendant she was the social butterfly that would strike up a conversation with anyone. Her enthusiasm for life and the people in it was seen by all who knew her. She could always be found: socializing, singing karaoke, dancing and shopping. As it was well known by all, shopping was her therapy and she was a proud fashionista.

Janet is survived by her husband, Dr. David Johnson of Great Falls; daughter, Ma Paxrixia Bianca Valdivia of West Palm Beach, FL; son, Jacinto Eduardo Valdivia III, also of West Palm Beach, FL; sister, Meredith C. Garoe of Manila, Philippines; brothers, Cesar J. Castor of Union, NJ, and Geronimo J. Castor of Monroe, NJ.
