Jerome Terry Simonson

Jerome passed away peacefully at his home in Power, MT on May 17th. One day after his 65th wedding anniversary. He was 84 years, 4 months, and 16 days old.

He was born in Warren, MN to Alfred Simonson and Gladys Skoglund Simonson on September 24, 1939. He was one of 6 children. He attended school at Viking, MN and Newfolden, MN.  He married Marjorie Potucek at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Radium, MN. Together they had 5 sons. They moved to Montana in October of 1970.

Jerome did electrical, construction, and was a carpenter for many years. The job he enjoyed the most was driving the school bus for Power School. He loved the kids. He would give them a ride home even if they only lived a block from school.

Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; sons, Scott (Paula), Steven (Cindy); sister, Mary Ann; sisters in law, Kathy, Faye Simonson, and Sabrina Simonson; and many nieces and nephews. He loved his 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sons, Darrin, Wade, and Craig; sisters, Gloria, Aly, and Sherry; brother, Sherman; grandson, Ryan; daughter in law, Rissa; 5 brothers in law, and his folks.

Funeral Services are May 25 at 11AM at Zion Lutheran Church in Power. Viewing at 10AM.

Memorials can be made to The Shriners Children Hospital, Grace Home for Veterans, Zion Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice.
