Jesse Lee Eller

Jesse Lee Eller, 39, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023.

Jesse was born on January 22, 1984 to Carolyn and Steven Eller. He spent his life in Great Falls attending CMR High School and graduating with the class of 2003. From there, Jesse went on to pursue a career in law enforcement. Through many years of hard work at the University of Great Falls, Jesse obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Law Enforcement. He would later serve as a police officer in Havre, Montana. He was promoted to Sergeant March 30, 2016. Throughout his time there, he received two letters of commendation. The first for a standoff he was involved in and the second for having to go to a disturbance call where he had to enter through a window to rescue a baby. Jesse had few other professions during his life. For two years, he was an animal control officer, Auto Body Detailer for City Motor Co., and a delivery driver and medical transporter for Spectrum Medical. No matter the task, Jesse thrived at everything he set his mind to.

Jesse was an outdoorsman at heart and had a deep love for all of nature. When the weather was nice, you could find him fishing, hunting, hiking, kayaking, or taking long walks with his dog, Bear. If the skies were white with winter’s snow, Jesse was jumping at the opportunity to go skiing. He was such a giving person, always looking to repay his community. He often went to Elementary Schools to read books to the students and raised money every year for the Polar Plunge in Havre, participating by jumping in the water. Him and his ex-wife, Laura, also organized Shop With A Cop for the kids in Havre.  Above all, Jesse was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews, siblings, and parents. With a heart like his, Jesse was loved my many. He was truly a gem in the crown of society and will be remembered for years to come.

Jesse is survived by his mom, Carolyn Eller; his sisters, Jennifer (Drew) Eller and Christy Eller; his nieces and nephews, Kiara, Isabella, Kaelyn, Renee, Alexandra, Herschel, Oliver, Gabriel, and Lincoln; and his beloved best bud, Bear.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Eller and his grandparents, Robert and Kathleen Holt.
