Joe “Big Joe” Tony Laverdure, 65, of Great Falls, passed away on July 11, 2015, surrounded by his family. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Little Shell Cultural Center, 1529 Stuckey Road.

Big Joe was born on May 22, 1950 in Great Falls, MT to Ralph Laverdure and Cecelia Komeotis. He spent his childhood growing up in Great Falls. In May of 1986 he married the love of his life, Dianne Deberry, and they remained together until her passing earlier this year. He spent the majority of his career working for Williamson Fencing.

Big Joe enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, pool leagues, and especially spending lots of time with his family. He loved helping others, and had a heart of gold that touched a lot of lives. He loved having cookouts, playing pool for the lido bar, and going on walks with his dearly departed Dianne.

Those who have survived Big Joe include sons, Tony, David, Calvin, Joe Jr (Cheri), Chris (Meagen), William (Jennifer), Elvis; daughters, Missy, Dolly, Terry, Dana, Alvina Marie (Larry), Celia, Crystal, Althea; brothers, Bobby and Puppet; sisters, Sissy, Judy, and Christine; 52 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife; his parents; brothers, Bruce and Johnny; sister, Judy; grandchildren, Shaquira and Joseph.
