Reverend John J. Waldner, 82, of Pleasant Valley Colony, passed away December 9, 2020 of natural causes. His Funeral will be held Saturday, December 12th at 11 AM at Pleasant Valley Colony. Arrangements have been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home. John was born in New Dayton, Alberta to Jacob and Elizabeth (Kleinsasser) Waldner. When he was 10 years old, the family moved to New Rockport Colony of Choteau, Montana. He remained there until 1989, when he moved to Pleasant Valley Colony, where he was a minister for the community for 28 years. Before he began his service as a minister, John spent 17 years working as a mechanic, as well as 14 years as a devoted German schoolteacher. His number one priority was to serve the Lord in all things. Survivors include his children: Susanna Waldner, Pleasant Valley Colony, Elizabeth (Jacob) Wipf of Hill Top Colony, Anna (Sam) Wipf, Julia (Peter) Wipf both of Pleasant Valley Colony, Lydia (Sam) Wipf, Rachel (Willy) Wipf, Judy (Paul) Wipf, Mary (John) Wipf all of New Rockport Colony at Choteau. His Sons: John (Elizabeth) of Hill Top Colony, Peter (Rachel) of Pleasant Valley Colony, Jacob (Magdelina) of Hill Top Colony, Tobias (Sarah) of Pleasant Valley Colony. Sisters in Law Susie of Duncan Ranch Colony, Rebecca of Hill Top Colony. Brothers in Laws George and Mike of New Rockport Colony and Paul Wipf of Hill Top Colony along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rachel, as well as all his siblings. Dad and Grandpa, you will be greatly missed!
