John "Radar" Graham Obituary

John C. “Radar” Graham, 64, of Fairfield, MT, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 8, 2018, surrounded by his family. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home. No services have been scheduled at this time.

John was born on January 5, 1954 in Billings, Mt to parents Michael Graham and Phoebe Dietz. He was raised in Roundup where he attended schools, graduating from Roundup High in June of 1972. Shortly after high school, John enlisted in the United States Air Force. Throughout his military career as a Meteorologist, he was stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas, Las Vegas, NV, and RAF Lakenheath, England, and three times at Malmstrom in Great Falls. He proudly retired after having served 21 years and earned the nickname Radar.

On December 21, 1974, John married the love of his life, C. Joan Graham, in Great Falls, MT. Together they family grew with the addition of two daughters and one son.

Throughout life, John always had an enjoyment for fishing and camping. He and his wife were both members of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Choteau. He belonged to the Eagles Lodge and was a lifelong member. He was the State President from June 2003 to June 2004. He was also a longtime member of the VFW.

He is survived in passing by his wife of 43 years, C. Joan Graham; daughters, Tanya Graham of Keene, TX and Lela Graham of Missoula, MT; son, Eoin (Amber) Graham of Roseburg, OR; grandsons, Michael, Christopher, and Jonathan; brothers, Michael (Linda), and Mark (Lydia); and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in passing by his parents, Michael and Phoebe Graham; sister, Sharon; and parents-in-law, Charles and Amy Faller.

Radar loved life and loved his cats; always having six or seven around no matter where he lived.
