Johnnie Joe Sweeten

Johnnie Joe Sweeten, 72, was called home Heaven on June 12, 2019. He lived in Great Falls, MT.

A Memorial Service will be held at the VFW Post 1087, 4123 10th Ave S, with full Military Honors and a reception to follow on FRIDAY, AUGUST 23, at 5 PM.

Johnnie was born October 10, 1946 to Florence Imogene (Wright) and Maurice Sweeten Jr. in Bentonville, AR.

He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam (66-69). He lived out his dreams including retiring in MT.

Johnnie is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda; children, Holly Sweeten (James) Killbreth of Gravette, AR, Jona Sweeten (Mike) Burnett of Bentonville, AR, and James “Shane” (Johnna) Mayes of Great Falls, MT. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Johnnie was preceded in death by his youngest son, John Cody Sweeten and by his parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.

Internment of ashes will take place in Albuquerque,  NM and Rogers, AR at a later date.
