Julia Emily (Peck) Berg

Julia “Julie” Emily Berg, 80, of Great Falls, MT passed away peacefully on the evening of December 23, 2020 at her daughter’s home surrounded by family. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home and no memorial service has been planned at this time.

Julie was born January 5th, 1940 to LeRoy and Julia (Olson) Peck in Polson, MT. They moved to Great Falls when she was 12 years old. Julie attended Great Falls High School and in 1956, while “cruzzing the drag”, she met the love of her life, Monte Berg. The couple married on November 30th, 1956 and shared 63 years together (even their birthday!) before his passing.

She was a wife, mother and homemaker, taking her role as a nurturer seriously, she helped care for foster children from around the community. Julie was also a very talented crafter, antique store owner and enjoyed tole painting, genealogy and visiting their winter home in Arizona.

Julie is survived by her brother, Marvin Peck of Great Falls; sons, Darin Berg of Great Falls and Monte Berg of Polson, MT; daughter, Debbie (Berg) Day of Great Falls, MT, along with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Monte Berg; daughter, Vicky Berg; brothers, Delbert and Vernon Peck and grandson, Ryan Scott.
