June Ollman Obituary

Born 96 years ago to George Roper and Daisy Amis Roper, in Cromer, Norfolk, England, our beloved Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, June Ollmann, left this earth on
10/24/23 to join her husband of 67 years, Don, for eternity.

June was the third of four children who, growing up in a seaside town, spent hours on the beach searching for treasures in the sand and Roller Dancing at the local rink. She was talented on skates, winning trophies for dance throughout her twenties. She and her family experienced WWII up close and personal, and she told stories of bombings, blackouts, and fear-filled shoeless walks in the night to avoid noise and enemy detection.During that time of life, she finished school and went to work at Woolworths where she stayed, moving up the ranks to manager, until she met and, in 1955, married the love of her life, Don Ollmann, who was stationed at Sculthorpe RAF Station. That was the start of her new career as an Air Force wife which, over the years, found her moving to five states with an assignment back to Europe thrown in the mix, before finally settling down here in Great
Falls, their last duty station, in 1979.

Unfortunately, June experienced lots of pain throughout the second half of her life with Rheumatoid Arthritis and Spinal Stenosis, but she was always ready for the grandkids to show up after school for a snack and some homework time followed by videos of the old cartoons. She treasured those days and the relationships built with the grandkids that grew
stronger with time.

June is survived by her daughters, Denise Wegner (Alan) and Darci Neil (Doug), grandchildren, Witne Neil (Shawn Krug), Kody Neil (Kate), and Blaize Wegner, great- grandchildren Cerek Krug, Kayden Neil and Kali Jo Neil, as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Daisy Roper, husband, Donald Ollmann, siblings Betty Lowy, Derek Roper, Marie Howell and their spouses as well as nephew Robert Howell and niece Elizabeth Roper.

Rest well, Mom, free from the pain you’ve endured the past fifty years
