Karen Smith was a mother, a grandmother, a dedicated member of the Christ United Methodist Church. She was a nurse practitioner and she worked as a nurse for the majority of her life at various locations including pediatrics and employee health. She cared for many children during her time as a nurse and took her job very seriously. She had a love for singing and was a member of her church's choir and the Great Falls Symphony. She dedicated her life to helping others, was an advocate for women’s rights and was an established member of Christ United Methodist Women. She was born in Missoula, Montana on March 25th, 1946 to Marie and Charles Punke. She married Roger Smith in 1969 and had two children, Ameda and Charles Smith. She passed away November 1, 2020 in the company of her family. She is survived by Roger Smith (husband), Ameda Smith (daughter), Charles Smith (Son), Michelle (daughter), Kyle, Shahn, and Alexis (grandchildren).
