Kenneth James Myre, 84, of Great Falls, passed away June 12, 2015 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be held Wednesday June 17th at 11:00 AM in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home with burial to follow at Highland Cemetery. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, June 16th in the chapel from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A potluck reception will follow the graveside services at Black Eagle Community Center.

Kenneth was born on January 24, 1931 to Peter and Delvina Myre. He grew up in Great Falls, attending Franklin School. He met and married Dixie Erickson in Great Falls and they were blessed with their only son James. He spent his life working as a general laborer in the construction trade, supporting his wife and son.

Kenneth’s greatest love was going to the stock car races to watch his son and grandson race. He loved doing woodworking, took real pride in taking care of his yard, and loved tinkering with his cars.

Survivors include his son, James (Marlene) Myre; grandson, Maurice Myre; sisters, Noreen, Margie, Shirley, Florence and Darlene; brother, Duane; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Those who preceded him in death include his parents; beloved wife, Dixie; grandson, Casey Myre.
