Our beloved husband, father, brother, and friend Kevin Jay Rocks, 64, of Great Falls, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2020 with his family by his side. He had stage 4 lung cancer, a very aggressive cancer that took him from us way too soon. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.
Born in Chester, MT on October 3rd, 1955 to Donald and Marlene Rocks, Kevin attended school and high school in Joplin, MT where he excelled in music, drama and carpentry. He attended Helena Vocational School where he received a degree in carpentry. He went on to specialize in cabinet building and countertop fabrication.
Kevin had a great love for The Beatles and a very impressive collection. But nothing compared to the love he had for his girls: wife, Jody Lynn Blake, whom he married on January 14, 1978, and his precious daughter, Randon Jay, born Oct. 30, 1978.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Jody; daughter, Randon Jay (Jesse) Sherack; mother, Marlene Rocks; brothers, Randy, Myron (Bunky) Rocks, and Aaron Rocks; sisters, Kim Manseau, Marla Preston and their spouses; uncle, Gene Meldrum; aunts Lorraine Hodges and Delores Humphrey.
Those who preceded him in death include his father, Donald Rocks; grandparents, Julius and Laura Rocks, Frank and Esther Meldrum; uncles, Kent and Lon Meldrum.
We would like to recognize the everlasting love that Jody’s family gave to Kevin. Also, a special thanks to the doctors and staff at Benefis Hospital and Sletten Cancer Institute, Amanda Lucas, Shawna Karjala and Dr. Kaae.
