Kris "Cruz" Nunez Morton

Kris “Cruz” Nunez Morton passed away on December 17, 2025 from medical complications in Great Falls, Montana at his mothers’ home, Dorothy Nunez. Kris had relocated in October to help her after her disability stroke.

Kris leaves behind his daughters Natalli, TX and April, OR and a son Joshua, OK.

His brothers Karl , WY, Beau, WY, Irik , OR, Johnny, OR, Mark Carver, KS, Ken, CA, Leland, CA, and Whitehorse aka “Whitefish”

Sisters Karla , KS, Joy, CA, Danielle , CA, and Autumn, CA and Amy “Amelia”. OR. Also his beloved Aunt Judy. Two nieces, six nephews and many friends.

He attended Lane Community College and earned his associate’s degree in criminal justice, worked security gigs at various events in the Willamette Valley for 25 years, starting with MIB. His last job in Eugene was for Safeway/Albertsons as a journeyman meat cutter the last five years.

Born in Santa Maria, CA and as a young adult considered Eugene his home.

Enjoyed all the Star Wars movies, board games, SCA and crabbing in Florence, OR.
Lived a simple life and simply loved all his family and close friends.

In mid-June there will be a celebration of life gathering in the Eugene area.
Details to be announced in May 2026. All who know him will be welcomed.
