Lorraine was born June 23, 1923 in Augusta, Montana, and was the sixth child of twelve born to Lawrence and Flora Lucero. Lorraine attended school in Augusta graduating in 1942. She then moved to Washington State to work in the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard loading torpedo’s during World War II, where she met and married the love of her life, Stanley Walker. Upon completion of his military service they moved to Iowa until 1948 when they returned to Lorraine’s home state of Montana.

In addition to raising three daughters, Lorraine also worked full time as a nurse’s aide and then became a physical therapist assistant retiring in 1985. After retiring she spent more time gardening, baking and helping to make sure her elderly mother was well taken care of. Her real passion was family. There was nothing she enjoyed more than having family around her.

Lorraine is survived by one brother, Samuel Lucero of Great Falls; daughters, Sharon Walker Faber of Great Falls, LaVonne Walker of Jamesville, NY; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Marlene) Wohler, Derek (Carol) Wohler, Lars (Michelle) Wohler, Brent LaMott, Krista Freeny, Kama (Joel) Hoagland, and Jason (Chantil) Breen; and eighteen great-grandchildren, eight great-great- grandchildren; and daughter-in law, Marsha Breen, sons-in-laws, Joe Brown and Dave Wohler, who all held a very special place in her heart. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews, and various other relatives and friends too many to mention.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents, Flora and Lawrence; husband of 66 years, Stan Walker; daughter, Sheila Walker Wohler; sisters, Lucille Raught, Rosemary Cline, Laura Shell, Rita Earnest, and Shirley Rust; brothers, Clarence, George, Walter, Lawrence, and Gene; and great- grandson Bryce Freeny.

A special thank you from Sharon and LaVonne to all the staff of Park Place that loved and took such excellent care of our mother.
