Martin Lee LeDeau, 69, of Great Falls passed away unexpectedly on April 21, 2020. A graveside service will be held on THURSDAY, April 30 at 2:00 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Martin, or as some might know him as “Salty”, was born in Fort Belknap, MT on October 8, 1950 to Joseph and Elsie (Boushie) LeDeau. He was raised in Great Falls, where he would go on to graduate from the Montana School of The Deaf and Blind. After graduation he left the area for a short time and headed to the big city. “Salty” moved to Minneapolis, MN and attended a trade school, before heading back home to Montana.
A very social guy, Martin absolutely loved visiting family and friends. He especially enjoyed the company of longtime friend, Maria Lopez. When not with those whom he loved, he could be found watching old western movies and game shows, or for many years pursuing his other hobby, collecting cans.
He leaves behind many that will forever miss him. His daughter, Nora Anne Gayton of Great Falls, MT; sisters, Rose Soreson, Velma LeDeau, and Wilma Lopez, all of Ogden, UT; adopted sisters, Jennifer LeDeau of Polson, MT, Joleen Winters of Billings, MT, and Janene LeDeau of Great Falls, MT.; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He now goes on to join his parents, Jospeh and Elsie LeDeau; brothers, Norman, William, and James Ledeau; and sister Joann DuBois Lopez.
