Mary Adele (Kambo) Hamann

Mary A. Hamann, 82, of Vaughn, passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021.  Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home.  A private family Graveside will take place at Sun River Cemetery on May 15, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held at Wedsworth Community Hall in Cascade, MT on May 15th at 2:30 PM.

Born Mary Adele Kambo on January 27, 1939 at Columbus Hospital in Great Falls to parents Ludvig and Lucille Kambo, Mary was raised on a farm in Craig.  She attended 7 Mile School, then grade school in Wolf Creek, and graduated from Cascade High School in 1956.    After high school she worked as a secretary at Moon Agency.  In December of 1956 she married Clarence M. “Shorty” Hamann and they were blessed with four children.   She helped support the family by working at Vaughn School and the Cascade County Health Department until she retired in 2007. 

Mary was an outdoorsy girl who loved camping and fishing.  She enjoyed time spent with family and was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother who shared herself freely with her loved ones.   She spent her last several years living with her daughter, Cindy and treasured being surrounded by her loved ones.

She will be sweetly remembered by her daughter, Lucenda “Cindy” Skelton; son, Daniel (Debbi) Hamann; brother, Bernard (Lora) Kambo; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Shorty Hamann; her parents; daughters, Twila Jo Hamann and Nancy Murphy; grandson, Jason Skelton.
