Melinda Ann Wynes Gibson, 61, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2021. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, January 21 at 1:00 PM in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home with Burial to follow at Highland Cemetery. Born March 5, 1959 in St. Louis, MO to Everett and Lillie Wynes, Melinda grew up in both St. Louis and Chamois, MO, graduating from Chamois High School in 1977. She obtained a degree in Criminal Justice while attending Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, MO where she met and married Jeffrey Gibson, remaining happily together until her untimely passing.
As a military wife, the family moved around, spending time in Great Falls, Comiso Siciily, Minot, ND and back to Great Falls. She worked as a medical scheduler, a CNA and a ward secretary at local facilities in Great Falls. A baker, a gardener and fan of “The Golden Girls”, she loved taking care of rescue animals and especially spending time with her grandchild.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Jeffrey; son, Zach; daughter, Amber; sisters, Cynthia Hoyt and Pat Harter; brother, Mark Wynes and granddaughter, Rhylee.
Those who preceded her in death include her parents and her brother, Fred Wynes.
