Mildina Ann Lacey, 81 years old of Great Falls, passed away February 24, 2015 of natural causes. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Mel is survived by her daughter, Kathleen J. Lacey of Helena; son, Karl & wife Dayle Lacey of Newcastle, WY; sister, Mary Lou Weber of Bremerton, WA; as well as four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded her in death include her husband, John T. Lacey; a daughter, Valerie Lacey; and her parents.

Mel was born August 8, 1933 in Roundup, MT to George and Ann May Schonians. It was here she married the love of her life in July of 1950. She and John were blessed with 54 years of marriage before his passing in 2004. Mel worked at several downtown restaurants and managed the Elk Club Restaurant for many years. She was a lifelong member of the Elks. She enjoyed working in her flower garden and yard, as well as doing crossword puzzles. Mel’s greatest joy came from her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all.

Memorial donations in her name are suggested to a charity of the donor’s choosing.
