Mildred "Millie" Hitchcock Obituary

Mildred “Millie” Dieon Camphouse Hitchcock blessed the lives of her parents, Samuel and Elnora Camphouse, with her birth on December 14, 1950 in Rigby, ID.  She moved with her parents to the Fairfield area where she grew up.  She married her soul mate, Jerome “Jerry” Hitchcock, May 27, 1969 in Choteau, MT.  They moved to Whitlash, MT where they loved ranching, with the only way to town was unpaved roads.  This is where they loved raising their five boys.  Nothing made Millie as proud and happy as her boys, and her grandchildren evidenced by her undeniable voice cheering at ball games, wrestling tournaments and ranch rodeos.  In the Sun River Valley Millie had an impeccable reputation for delivering the Tribune in the middle of the night, no mater what…rain, blizzards, below zero temperatures, and wind that would ground airplanes.  Millie had a unique perspective of the world and was never shy about expressing her opinions.  To share her perspectives of life she was a master crafter of unique picture frames made from the natural world around her.  Her hobbies included riding horses, raising peacocks, and crocheting.

Mille will be missed by her family but their faith gives them comfort in knowing that she is with God, united with her husband Jerry, daughter Paula and grandson Yukon.  They see her sitting on a cabin porch in the mountains with Jerry, rocking her babies or riding her horse, Mabel.

Millie is survived by her loving family; sons, Wally (ex-Chrstine Carpenter), Mike (Tanya), Leonard, Jeremy (Tavie), Gary (Sarah); grandchildren, Kaity (Tim) Stewart, Jamie (Dakota) Goustad, Samatha, Lane, Jessica, Ally, Chad, Grayce, Klayre, Parker, and Lance Hitchcock; great-grandchildren, Delaney, Mathew, and Emma Stewart.  She is also survived by her siblings, Shirley Bucher, Terry (Harriet) Camphouse, Sandy (Glen) Wiseman, Bob (Char) Camphouse, and Nancy (Ed) Runstrom.

Millie’s life legacy is her love of family: children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  If one wishes to send memorials the family requests the Ramsey Keller Memorial kisses2heaven.com , Held Your Whole Life  heldyourwholelife.com , or donor’s choice.
