Misty “AKA Boo Boo” Dawn Thomas, 37, of Great Falls, passed away May 19, 2015, succumbing to a long term illness. Cremation will be handled by Croxford Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, May 22, at 4:00 PM at Black Eagle Community Center. Her family will spread her ashes in the Sun River at a later date.

Misty was born June 7, 1977 in Great Falls, MT. When she was 6 years old she had a newspaper column in the Sun Valley Sun Called “Boo Boo Says”. She told all about what was going on in the Augusta area. A syndicated columnist from Chicago wrote a column about her in his column entitled “You say you have a newspaper column—well so do I”. She was raised in Great Falls, Augusta, Bozeman, Seattle and Arizona. She devoted her life taking care of others.

Misty was an entrepreneur among many other talents. She was a special caregiver to anyone in need, and always had an open heart. She always put others’ needs ahead of her own. She was a fisherwoman extraordinaire and a “scope” expert.

Survivors include her parents Renita Thomas (Tom Johnston) of Fairview, MT, Ron Thomas of Fairfield, MT, Bob (Flo) Thunstrom of Great Falls, MT; special friend Laura Johnson; Sister Jennifer Johnson of Great Falls, MT; nieces Maddysun Johnson and Savanah Johnson of Great Falls, MT, grandparents Joette Meeks of Tehachapi, CA and Ruth Koenig of Sun City West, AZ;

Those who have preceded her in death include grandparents Reese and Ann Thomas and Victor and Goldie Thunstrom; grandfather Merle J. Koenig; aunt Debra Koenig; uncle Dallas Koenig.
