Myrna Evans Obituary

Myrna Evans, 80, of Great Falls, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022.  A Celebration of Life will be held Monday May 23rd at 11:00 AM at the Heritage Baptist Church for close friends and family.

Born in Great Falls, MT on April 24, 1942 to loving parents, Leonard Clinton Ritzschke and Jane Helen Vraa Ritzschke, as a child growing up in Great Falls, she did normal kid things, hanging out with friends and babysitting neighborhood children for extra money.  She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1960.  After that she then married her first husband, MIcheal Dunn from Minnesota.  She had three children, Michelle Mary Dunn, Merle Leonard Dunn and Mark William Dunn.  They ended up moving to Fort Shaw, MT, where Myrna became a bartender at a little bar.  The marriage didn’t last, and she was a single mother of three.  In 1972 she had another child, Mitchel Lee Dunn out of wedlock.  One day in 1974 a tall handsome cowboy named Lance R. Evans walked into her bar and stole her heart.  On January r10, 1975 they married and shortly after she gave birth to her last child on August 11, 1975, Lane Grant Evans.  They were happily married until Lance went to heaven on July 27, 2016.

Myrna loved plants and gardening.  She always had beautiful flowers in her yard.  She loved collecting, especially dolls, probably because she loved children.  Her kids and grandkids were her pride and joy.  Myrna worked as a bartender and waitress and proved in home care for elderly people.  She used to take care of the aging nuns at the Ursuline Center for many years.

She is survived by her children, Michelle Dunn of Phoenix; Merle Dunn, Mitch Dunn and Lane Dunn;  grandchildren: Mike Dunn, Corey Williams, Amanda Dunn, Alisha Dunn, Thomas Dunn, Travis Pheonix, Codey Dunn and Victoria Dunn.  She was a very religious person and everybody who met her loved her.  Growing up all of our friends called her mom.
