Norman James “Son” LaMere, 73, of Great Falls passed away January 4, 2016 at Peace Hospice after a difficult battle with cancer.  A Rosary and Vigil will be held Monday, January 11th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home.  A Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 12th at 11:00 am at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Son was born on January 3, 1943 in Havre, MT to Norman and Florence Brien LaMere.  He attended school in Great Falls and Havre.  Son had many jobs over the years; his favorites were bartending and cooking at a truck stop.

Playing machines, going to bingo, and visiting with people outside the Rainbow Retirement Center were some of Son’s favorite things. 

Son is survived by his son, Don (Joey) LaMere; six grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews, with a special nod to Shawn Marie and Chase. 

Those who have preceded him in death include his parents; sister, Mary Matt; brothers, Kenneth, Clifford, Bud, Albert, Al, Matthew, and Jess Motch.
