Peter M. Kronovich Jr., 82, of Great Falls, passed away September 20, 2014 at Peace Hospice after a brave battle with cancer. A Memorial Service will be held in the Rose Room at Croxford Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27 at 2pm.

Peter was born on February 19, 1932 to Peter and Stella Kronovich in South St. Paul, MN. Peter grew up in South St. Paul and graduated from South St. Paul High School where he spent a lot of his time dedicated to the hockey team. In 1953 Peter met his first wife Darleen which later ended in divorce. This union brought about three wonderful children. In 1984 Peter married his love Dolores Little and they stayed happily together until his death. This union brought about 6 more wonderful kids.

After graduating from High School Peter found his calling in life. He started buying and selling cattle for Packerland packing Co. of Green Bay, WI. He later moved to Montana in 1969 and bought cattle for numerous packing plants. He retired from O&C Cattle Co. of Washington in 1997.

Peters favorite past times were gardening, golfing, die hard Minnesota Vikings fan, old western movies, camping and fishing with his family, and the uncanny ability to cook a mean steak. Throughout his life he loved refereeing hockey games and making an annual trip to Minnesota never missing a class reunion.

Peter is survived by his wife of 30 years Dolores; sons, Michael(Jean) Kronovich, Ed(Missy) Abbott, Bob Abbott; Daughters, Kris(Winston) Shortridge, Diane(Paul) McMenamy, Sheree(Scott) Manzer, Karee(Alan) Suess, Jamie Abbott, and Julie Joy; sisters Helen Waldoch and Darlene Pecelj; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, numerous siblings, and one great-grandchild.
