Rosanne Marie (Slack) Mares

Rosanne “Wink” Marie Mares, 68, of Great Falls, passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 at her home.  A Memorial Service will be held Friday, January 11th at 2:00 PM at Central Christian Church.

Born October 4, 1950 in Great Falls to Lockie Irene Murry Rosbasky and Robert Charles Slack, Rosanne graduated from Great Falls High School in 1969 and continued her education, receiving an Associates Degree in Sports Medicine.   She lived in Great Falls until 1993, when she moved to Phoenix, AZ.  She met her loving husband, Robert “Bobby” Olguin while there, marrying on January 8, 2000 in Las Vegas, NV.  They moved to Great Falls in 2006, remaining here until her passing.

Throughout her lifetime Rosanne was an occupational exam clinic manager and an assisted living care provider.  She became certified as a Yoga-fit and Zumba fitness instructor, and taught Yoga at the College of Great Falls as well as Access Fitness.  Her passions included riding her Harley Davidson, spending time with her family and grandchildren, body building, yoga, fitness and rescuing any stray animal that showed up on the door step, including her ever-vigilante devotion to the Pet Paw-see.

Survivors include her loving husband, Robert; sons, Jason Robert (Kara Dawn) Mares of Laurel, MT and Jerred Lee (Annie Ayre) Mares of Seattle, WA; brother, James Douglas Slack of Great Falls; niece, Renee Tracy; grandchildren, Beau Austin Mares and Isabella Irene Mares, both of Laurel, MT. 

Rosanne was preceded in death by her father, Robert Charles Slack; mother, Lockie Irene Rosbasky, and stepfather, Kenneth James Rosbasky.
