Rushton E. Fryberger, 64, of Conrad, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, after suffering a cerebellar stroke. Ever a fighter, he had battled Diabetes and Renal Disease for years, but couldn’t overcome this final obstacle. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home. Per his wishes, no formal services will be held.
Born in Bremerton, WA on October 24, 1956 to Robert and Edith Rushton Fryberger, Rushton was raised in Vaughn, MT and graduated from Simms High School in 1974. He met his forever love, Sherry Carlson while in California, and they were married on October 2, 1992 in Tracy, CA.
Rushton worked as a butcher for a time, helped out at Opportunities Inc., but spent the majority of his career as a Precast Concrete Manager and delivered burial vaults. When not working, Rushton would head out on his Harley, bringing him a sense of freedom and relaxation. He was a socializer at heart, loved going to the NASCAR races, and cherished the moments spent with family and friends.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Sherry; daughter, M’Lis Edwards; grandson, Dakota Merchant; sisters, Kathy Coleman, Becky Foster and Diane Harvey; brother, Jim Fryberger.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Edith Fryberger.
Donations can be made in his name to the National Kidney Foundation.
