Shirley Pauline Dyrdahl, daughter of Jessie (Lawrence) Larkin and Hilda Pederson, was embraced in the arms of our Lord on Friday, April 10, 2015 at a local care facility. Funeral services will be held at United Methodist Church in Choteau, MT, on Wednesday, April 15, at 11am with a public visitation one hour prior to service. Graveside services will be announced at a later date.

Shirley was born on March 2, 1935, in Great Falls, MT, but was raised in Fairfield from birth through high school with her older brother Jack, and her sister, Darlene. Shirley married Mel Lake in 1953 and had three children together; Viki, Rick, and Semelee. They later divorced in 1958. Shirley moved to Missoula with her three children at that time, to attend cosmetology school for hair styling. After graduation in 1963, she moved her family to Great Falls and worked at both Dahl's as well as Volksman's Beauty Salon. She met and married Herb Dyrdahl and they had two daughters together, Angela and Lisa. Shirley and Herb later divorced. Shirley moved with her children to Choteau in 1967 where she married Jim Forrest. Shirley lived in Choteau until her passing.

Shirley is survived by her children, Viki Lensing, Rick (Perlene) Lake, Semelee Luinstra, Angela (Shawn LaBaugh), Lisa (Mark) Walker; sister, Darlene Ferris; grandchildren, Cody Lensing, K.C. Lensing, Kyli Risser, Kelee Lensing, Kevin Luinstra, Chris Luinstra, Alisia Certain, Heather Boyce, Marquis Walker, Austin Walker and Alannah Walker; great grandchildren, Taleah Lensing, Addie Lensing, Noah Lensing, Sophia Lensing, Brooke Risser, Nolan Luinstra, Hannah Luinstra, Josie Bradley and Olivia Boyce . Shirley was preceded in death by her brothers Ted and Jack Larkin.
