We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Croxford Funeral Home
Suzanne Elizabeth Brenan, 57, of Great Falls passed away on June 24, 2022. A Celebration of her life will
be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at 1:00 PM at New City Church, 4114 N Park Trail, Great Falls.
Suzy was born on December 28, 1964 in Superior, MT to Donald and G. Elizabeth (McJilton) Bauer. She
grew up in the area, eventually graduating from Shelby High School in 1983. After which she attended
Great Falls and Kalispell Community Colleges. Then worked as a bounty hunter, landscaper, and
Destiny stepped in about 15 years ago when she met and went on to marry the love of her life, Brian
Brenan, in West Monroe, LA. The two remained together until her passing.
Suzy had a huge, kind heart and loved all people and animals. She had a wonderful sense of humor and
loved making people laugh. She could often be found approaching random strangers at Wal-Mart,
asking: “Do you have any prescription medications?”--hoping to cause her little brother and big sister to
wet their pants from laughter. Or she would tell other strangers at gas stations, “Hey, buddy, you need
a vacation! You should go to Brazil and check out some bikinis!”
She loved music, singing, and grew up playing the saxophone. As well, she loved rocking out to AC/DC,
played as loudly as possible. She also enjoyed fishing, swimming, shooting, hunting, gardening, and long
walks in the mountains.
She will be missed by all but especially her husband, Brian Brenan; daughter, Samantha Mears;
grandson, Zoaklin Mears; sisters, Cathy (Bill) Brooks, and Therese (Bob) Kemp; brothers, Larry Bauer,
Tom (Lori) Bauer, Jerry (Dawn) Bauer, Steve (Cindy) Bauer, and Donnie (Kathleen) Bauer; Jean (Doc)
Bauer, as well as lots of cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Suzy was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and G. Elizabeth Bauer; and brother, Charles Bauer.
The service will be live streamed on New City Church’s website.
Flowers may be sent to New City Church or donations can be made in Suzy’s name to Celebrate
Recovery, Whites Ferry Church, 3201 N. 7 th St. West, West Monroe, LA 91291.
