November 17, 2021 was the day our hearts were broken when we lost our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and beloved friend, Thomas William Schwarz, 85, of Great Falls. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 30th at 2:00 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Great Falls.
Born December 19, 1935, in St. Clair, MI to Richard and Lillian (Day) Schwartz, Thomas graduated from St. Clair High School in 1954. He joined the U. S. Air Force right out of school, serving in the Korean War, was stationed in Japan for a time, served in the Vietnam War, before moving to Great Falls, MT. He retired from the service in 1974 after 20 honorable years. November 1, 1958, he married the love of his life, Judith Roome in St. Clair, remaining together for 56 years until her passing in 2014. They were blessed with two sons, Thomas and Brian and two daughters, Marjorie and Brenda.
After 20 years in the military, Thomas worked for Paulson’s for 6 years, then became employed by the Great Falls School District for 20 years and was the head engineer at CMR until his retirement in 1997. An amazing, loving, strong man, Thomas was adored by everyone he met, and he touched a lot of hearts. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, and taking drives with the family.
