Alice Mae Hoyt, 64, of Great Falls passed away July 21, 2016 in her home of natural causes. 

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated in her honor on Friday, July 29, 2016 at St. Ann’s Cathedral at 12:00 PM.

Alice was born in Great Falls on February 10, 1952 to Donald and Johanna (Van Zetteren) Hoyt. She was raised and educated in Great Falls, graduating from high school there.

In 1969, Alice married Joseph F. Marcinek, to their union, a daughter Vanessa was born. Alice and Joseph parted ways, divorcing.

Alice had a long career as an administrative professional, she worked in healthcare and at Job Service for many years.

In her free time, she loved arts and crafts, especially card making and scrapbooking. Alice’s family and friends loved to receive the beautiful things she would make for them. Alice enjoyed many wonderful times spent in the company of her best friend, Colleen Lattin. Alice also loved the companionship of her dogs over the years, most recently, her beloved Moses was by her side every day.

Alice was a strong and independent woman with a wonderful sense of humor and easy going attitude. She was close to her daughter, Vanessa and loved dearly by her grandchildren, Alicia (Brad) and Joseph. As a family, they all enjoyed having dinners, watching movies together and crafting.

Alice had trials and tribulations during her life and found solace in the unconditional love of God. She was baptized in and a member of St. Ann’s Cathedral. She loved attending Mass and most recently the Big Sky Cum Christo, where she made many friends.

She is survived by her loving family, her daughter, Vanessa Marcinek; grandchildren, Alicia, Brad and Joseph; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Lawson and Patty Hoyt; and brother, Danny Hoyt.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Johanne and Don; brother, Donald Hoyt; sister, Gladys Sokolowski; granddaughter, Rebecca; and her beloved dog, Twinkles.
