The only place I would ever wait to get a haircut. Sitting there listening to the stories and banter back and forth was well worth the price of the haircut (which was too low) When told, Bill simply replied "Its enough for us".

What a guy. Will never forget you.

I enjoyed so much getting a haircut and the abuse that all politicians received from Bill.
As I walked in the door Bill would say " if you have any complaints about State Government their is the guy to talk to", pointing at me.
Could anybody ask for more than to work at a job you love almost to the day you die. God must have needed a new barber and he picked the best.
I will miss Bill as will all who knew him.

Our heartfelt condolences to all of you at this sad time. When i go to the shop, I'm going to miss his jokes and line of BS. He always had some "words of wisdom" for everyone. He cannot be replaced.

Lost an old friend. Bill and I go way back to my early days in GF, with a history of exchanging bad old jokes with each other. He did a stint on sports radio that introduced him to a lot of the "radio" folks in town. Glad to have met you Bill, Thank you.

Bill had attended my Pulmonary Rehab group years ago, and he was always such a kick to have in class. He stopped attending but would still stop in to say HI once in awhile. He will be missed. I am so sorry for your loss.

Bill was my Dad's barber and friend for more years then I can remember. My dad loved going to the barbershop and to bullshit with Bill and anyone that was there. After my mom passed and my dads health was failing he even offered to come to the Grandview to cut his hair. Bill was a great guy and he will be missed by many. Sending love and hugs to his family.

Barbara and all of Bill's extended family-
I am so sorry to hear that Bill could no longer keep going. We have been friends for at least 40 years. We traded work, (Bill believed in trading) and sat and talked by the hour, our views were not always the same but we could disagree with out getting mad. Most things we did agree on and being the same age we looked at life from about the same angle. He was always good for a story, that is what a lot of his customers came for as much as the haircut. I will certainly miss him as will you.

I'm so saddened to hear of the news of Bill's passing. May the Lord comfort Barbara and the entire family during this most difficult time. Like Ali in his time, to me, Bill was the greatest boxing announcer of all time! Before your fight Bill would interview you about your boxing record and then would announce your record and what boxing titles you had won. "In the red corner, with a record of 53 wins, 13 losses, 3 time Montana State Golden Gloves Champion, Ernie Corchane!" He had a golden voice. I can still hear it ringing in my head. I stopped by his home a couple of times in the last year and we swapped boxing stories. Bill knew just about every fighter in the 60's-80's to come out of Montana. He will be greatly missed by the boxing community and all his hundreds of loyal customers at the Riverview Barber Shop. Bill was truly one of a kind. I miss him already.

My sincere condolences to Bill's family. I first met Bill over 15 years ago and it turned out we were both from the same home town. We never had a shortage of things or people we both knew from there to talk about. The funniest story he told me was when he was young and living there, he drove his car through the pedestrian underpass from one side of town to another and there was only a couple of inches of room on each side of the car. Knowing Bill, only he could pull off such a feat! I'm sure going to miss the "Ol Boy", he was one of a kind!!!

Graves Family, We are very saddened to hear of Bill's passing. May you find comfort knowing how many peoples lives he touched. I will never forget my son John's first haircut with Bill. He wanted me to go sit in the car so he could finish cutting his hair. He was truly an amazing man. He will be missed by so many. RIP "Barber Bill". Kathy & Jerry Mann

He will always be in our thoughts I will always remember how he would call Kira (Tiara) just to make her mad and it always worked. I was blessed the day that I met your family and will never forget all the great things you did for our children. Bill will always be in our hearts and if ever you need anything or just a shoulder to cry on feel free to give me a call. Love always Gene, Brenda, Kira and Chase Nader
