Buck was an amazing man and a truly kind spirit. Prayers go out to his family. May the knowledge that he was a loved, respected and highly successful man who lived an exemplary life help assuage the pain of loss. Gayla Bastas and Tom Bastas in memory.

Buck was a true gentleman and fine officer. I recall the first time I met him after I went to work for the MTANG. I was working in debriefing and when he came in he introduced himself to me. After that anytime he would see me he would stop and ask how it was going. I have never met a friendly person and he will be missed.

Ward-
We are sorry to hear of the passing of your father. Although I only got to meet him on our Montana Airshow trips many years ago, I know he was a great man - father, leader, pilot...truly an American Hero!
Our deepest sympathies to you and your family for your loss.

I got to know Buck well in the late 70s and 80s. A prince of a man. Everyone should aspire to have his good traits rub off on them. He put others first; himself second.
Being an OIKE, we immediately bonded on values, ethos.

A simply wonderful man. So sad to see him leave this earth. My condolences to his family.

Delores and family, I cannot begin to express my sincere sympathies in the loss of General Judeman. I have the utmost respect for the General (never called him Buck out of respect, even after retirement). While we didn't cross paths a lot early in my career he was always an officer who showed a great respect for us enlisted. Fortunately, later in my career, General Judeman and I served in the Headquarters, ANG in Helena and we got to know each other even better. I really didn't know how much better we got to know each other until, at my retirement in 2006, he got up in front of my well wishers and read a poem he had written about me! I can tell you I was quite taken back by his poetry skills and will consider it the highlight of my retirement party. What an honor to have a General write a poem about me (an enlisted guy)! Still a special memory to this day. My prayers are with you all and may God shine his love on Buck!

We're so saddened by your loss; Corry - and by extension all of you - have been part our "family of choice" for a long time now; and we feel truly honored just by the few snapshots in time we were able to spend with Buck. I can tell you as a Guardsman, his legacy spreads beyond Montana's borders. Fair winds and following seas to a true American. - The Newells
