Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Marian M. Morrison “Wilson”, passed away at the age of 94 on October 31, 2017 at Benefis West Senior Care Center in Great Falls. We will bid her a fond farewell on Saturday, November 18th at 11:00 AM at a Graveside Service at Highland Cemetery.
Born May 26, 1923 in Great Falls, Marian was one of three daughters born to Arthur and Beatrice L. VanAlstyne Morrison. She attended the local public schools and developed a love of cooking, that would develop into a career, both as a cook and as a hostess, for many restaurants in the area. She also cared for many people in our community by being a Homecare health worker. She was an active member in the VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Church of Christ.
Marian enjoyed decorating for the kids, especially for Halloween and at Christmas time. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling with her sisters and on many teams. All throughout her life she kept her hands busy enjoying many years crafting and crocheting.
Survivors include her daughters, Juanita (Terry) Kolashinski of Buckeye, AZ, Anna (Herman) Hamilton of Great Falls, Dona Miller of Great Falls and Cindy Mapston of Denton, MT; sister, Leah Walbon of Great Falls; 2 Nieces and one nephew; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-grandchildren.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Beatrice Morrison; husbands, Ernie Wheat and Edward Miller; son, David Wheat; daughter, Barbara (Wheat) Steen, and sister, Marge Means.
