Catherine May Pauline Knaup, 91, of Stockett, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2015 at Peace Hospice, in the company of her loving family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home. Burial of her cremains will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 10:30 AM at Cottonwood Bench Cemetery in Stockett, MT.

Born April 30, 1924 to Paul Subic and Mary Margaret Gasvoda Subic, Catherine grew up in Stockett and graduated from Centerville High School. In 1943, she married the love of her life, Walter D. Knaup, and through this union they were blessed with two loving children; son, David and daughter Paulette. They were fortunate enough to enjoy 35 wonderful years together until his passing in 1978.

Catherine was a devoted wife and mother who was lucky enough to be a stay at home parent, providing a loving atmosphere for her family. Music and gardening were her favorite pastimes, along with tipping an occasional cold beer with friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Paulette (Ken) Lougee of Texas; daughter-in-law, Kristi Knaup; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded Catherine in death include her loving husband Walter; son, David; sisters, Anne Handel and Rose Davis; brother, Paul Subic.
