Dorothy Marie Willits passed away on her birthday January 9, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 17 at 3:00pm at First United Methodist Church located at 610 2nd Ave North. Here’s to living a life of excellence for 89 years!

Dot was born in Peabody, Massachusetts on January 9, 1926. She left Massachusetts as a young bride with Clair, the love of her life, and their first born son, Bob. They were headed for the wilds of Montana. This meant going from indoor plumbing, Chinese laundry and busy streets to Clair’s family homestead in Simms, complete with outhouses, heat-your-own water and the chicken dinner was alive in the yard. Soon their second child, Judy, was born. The young family then moved to sunny California where their daughters Laurie and Debbie joined the family. Ah, but Montana kept calling and Dot and Clair eventually moved back to raise their family and become keystone citizens of Great Falls. Dot was devoted to family, friends, church, P.E.O. and Bridge.

Dot is survived by her son, Bob (Cheryl) Willits; daughters, Judy (John) Reddy, Laurie (Craig) Owen, and Debbie (Bill) Nokes; as well as her beloved grandchildren, Heather Pedersen, Mike (Monica) Willits, Emily Nokes, Joe Reddy, Sandra Nokes, Chelsea Owen and Alec Owen; and great-grandson, Matthew Willits.

Memorials are suggested to First United Methodist Church at the above mentioned address.
