Earl Homer Lord, 83 of Great Falls, passed away April 6, 2015 of natural causes. Cremation has been entrusted to Croxford Funeral Home and no services are planned at this time.

Earl was born August 2, 1931 in Kansas. He sold insurance throughout the country and worked at Montgomery Wards in Arizona for a time. He moved to Great Falls in the 90’s and fell in love with the town. On October 31, 2000 he was married to Ruby (Hendrickson) Nicola. Together they traveled all over the county, visiting many states and spending long weekends in motels like a couple of teenagers. Earl was somewhat of a private man who treasured his time with his wife and family. He enjoyed his yard work and always kept a beautiful lawn.

He will be greatly missed by those he leaves behind, including his wife of 15 years, Ruby Lord; stepdaughters, Carmen Nicola of Great Falls and Judy Wilkinson of Oregon; stepson, Leonard “Nick” Nicola of Utah; as well as his dog, Charlie.
