Elizabeth Therese (Schmid) Storle, 82, of Great Falls, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Benefis Hospital.  Cremation has taken place under the direction of Croxford Funeral Home. No services are planned.

Elizabeth was born on August 23, 1934 in Passau, Germany.  She attended school in Germany and at 18 years old in 1952, came to the United States when her aunt and uncle brought her over here.  Her uncle was in the military, so she lived on various military installations before moving to and settling in Cut Bank, Montana.

In 1956, she married Curtis Storle in Cut Bank, and the newlyweds moved to Great Falls that same year.  Elizabeth became a United States citizen in 1958.   Their first child, Deby was born in 1957 and their second daughter, Linda was born in 1960.  In 1965, Mark Curtis was born, but sadly only lived for 2 days after birth.

Elizabeth was a full-time homemaker while her children were young.  After Linda started high school, she started working for the Great Falls School Food Service program, retiring after 9 years in 1989.

She enjoyed bowling, camping, fishing, snowmobiling, knitting and crocheting, and was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and the Senior Citizen Center.

Elizabeth is survived by daughters, Deby (Ed) Gunter and Linda (Rick) Murr as well as 4 grandchildren, Aubrey (A.J.) Peterschick, Libby (Craig) Kahnke, both of Billings, Montana, Brendon (Iris) Murr, of Kent, Washington, and Daniel Murr of Great Falls.   She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and her sister Inge (Ludwig) Rössler of Salzburg, Austria.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis, on November 23, 2016, her mother, sister Helga, son Mark and granddaughter, Clarisa Murr.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
