Joanna Hastings, 87 of Great Falls, passed away of natural causes on April 30, 2017.  A Visitation will be held Friday, May 5th from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM in the Rose Room Chapel at Croxford Funeral Home, with a Funeral Service to be held Saturday, May 6th at 2:00 PM, also in the Rose Room Chapel. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at Highland Cemetery.

Joanna was born January 28, 1930 in Great Falls, Montana. She was married to Robert Hastings on July 6, 1951 in Fort Benton. They shared 45 wonderful years and raised a loving family before his passing in 1996.

She owned and operated her own business – Joanna’s Ceramic Supply – for 20 years. She was very active in the community, spending 60 years as a member of the Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile, temple #79. She was also a member of the Duncan Presidential Advisory Counsel for two years.

 Joanna loved baking and decorating wedding cakes and cookies; she enjoyed farming and ranching and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Penny (Kerry) Obrecht of Seattle, WA, Roberta Hastings of Great Falls, Clifford (Kerry Sue) Hastings of Snohomish, WA, and Edward (Susan) Hastings of Great Falls; as well as nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded her in death include her husband, Robert; brothers, Richard and Edward Vian; and her parents.
